Let me pose a couple of questions. How do you know the public wasn't at risk?
Because the RCMP said so. I'd take the judgement of subject matter experts in criminal public safety as fact until proven otherwise.

What if she was assaulted for reasons other than homelessness and just for agruments sake let's say this happened to a soccer mom walking her poodle, would the mounties issue a warning for women to take care?
I'm not the RCMP, I can't asnwer that question for you.

My guess would be yes but, since this woman was homeless, they decided on their own not to issue a public warning despite the fact they don't really know or have any evidence as to the reason she was attacked.
This is speculation on my part, but maybe she was attacked because a homeless person is an easy target of opportunity. Someone that is attacked because they are at much higher risk, isn't the grounds to issue a public warning for the general population.

Can you say Robert Picton????????

Are you saying that if the police had said look out sex workers we can't find some of you, he would have been able to kill anyone?

Let me take care of this; Homeless people, people addicted to drugs, sex workers, stop doing that, it is not safe.

Great answer, especially since the mounties are above reproach as past incidents have proven.

And for the record, the Pickton hearing seems to think warning the prostitutes on the East Side would have saved lives but hey the cops are always above reproach.
