Gunnair Gunnair:
That's pretty insensitive. Any revolution will be bringing with it death and destruction and a lot of suffering.

Cheer leading that suggests that possible maturity you've been developing ain't actually there.

I'd recommend you hop a flight soonest and check out conditions in Spain yourself. Oh, right, you probably don't have the job and money to do that and if I recall, you live at home and don't have to worry about food and shelter.

Unlike a lot of people in Spain.

Wow...

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
I just thought of a new word: "over-reactionaries"

Anyhow, I should do as strawmen do and not bother responding, but I'll take the bait I suppose.

I'm not quite sure why you think that's an overreaction. You were cheerleading a revolution. I'm curious how many revolutions you can point out that are painless.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
What is your platform of ideas to prevent said violence, destruction, and suffering? What super solution is there to prevent the "revolution"?

You've had a "whoosh" moment here.

Irrespective of whether a revolution can be prevented or not, cheer leading the coming pain is up there in the area of sensitivity as the weak 15 year old girls deserve to die postulation by the shitpump not to be named. Revolution brings pain and death, C, you should now that by now if you bother watching the news at all. Recognizing that pain may be coming is one thing, hosting a party for it and inviting all of your camo jacket wearing buddies and their bongs is another.

Immature to say the least.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
The solution to me, is revolution that brings around less turmoil in the end than what the status quo will do now. I really don't see another solution at the moment, because I haven't really heard of one, and it seems that that's what many in Spain and other European countries are concerned about at the moment. So, like I asked, what is there to prevent that sort of thinking? What is there to convince the Spanish to not involve themselves with social upheaval. More than the "death and destruction" argument, of course. If that isn't an option of concern to these people anymore, what's to be done?

The 'cheerleading' itself means nothing. Why would it? If it's inevitable either way, taking a side that's not involved really means little, and affects nothing. Go on a ridiculous tangent if you must to try and make your point, I'm seeing a constant sentiment that forces people like the Spanish between a rock and a hard place, like repeating the "Death and destruction" thing will encourage the Spanish people to take whatever pain comes their way in the constant interest of social order and peace. I'm taking care not to assume what your argument is here, like you are doing right now, as I've seen how you react if someone dares do that with you.

Yes, "revolution" brings pain and death.
And so does the status quo.

P.S. I like how you fully quoted yourself there. Definitely cute.

Honestly, if you feel the need to hide behind what you think I will say vice what I will say, please do. Your assumptions are rather meaningless if you don't have the parts to find out the truth.

If the problem in Spain was easy to solve, they would have done that 30+ years ago.

Add "Time for a Communist revolution" to the forum catch phrase collection.

Alright.

I vote 'yay' on ending this conversation. All in favour? Who cares.

The other day you said you expected communism to not arrive in your lifetime and to only come about when people's consciousness gets to the point they adopt it naturally and peacefully.

Today you're more singing out of Mr Trotsky's hymnal. Bloodshed justified by the end result. It took France 200 years to work thru its revolution. Revolution is usually much longer and messier than expected. Maybe we could have a peaceful revolution, but I wouldn't bet on it.
