Fail.

Equitable is the same.

If someone has a 'greater ability', that by definition is discriminatory.

It's the same old mantra, people can't even recognize they are
putting people into groups, which isn't 'fair and equal' treatment.

Progressive taxes punish success, which is why they arent being paid.
The proof is in the article.

How about you actually read the article? It's about corporate taxes. They already are flat taxes, but companies manage to avoid them anyway. But I guess I should follow Lemmy's advice and just nod.

Negative. If Progressive Taxes punish success, then why is there a growing Wealth Gap?

Even with progressive taxes, the rich still get richer because even as those dollars are taxed at a higher rate, the after-tax amount remaining is new wealth.

Just a refresher, because I went over this with you before Martin: Progressive tax doesn't mean your entire annual income is taxed at the higher rate, it means only dollars you earn above the threshold are taxed at the higher rate.

I mean, can anybody tell me an example of a person who said "I don't want to be rich because I'd pay higher taxes?" Is there anyone who'd rather make $45k and pay 15% federal tax than be a millionaire and pay 29% federal tax???
