Calling for Palestinian statehood is now a confrontation, gotcha. Although it might have started out that way, that's not what it is today. It's an Anti-Jew day and the Palestinians are just an excuse. I'm sure most people that celebrate don't give a damn about the Palestinians.

BartSimpson BartSimpson: Probably for the same reason you have American judges making excuses for islamo-fascists to assault people that insult them.

BartSimpson BartSimpson: And the Jews shouting for genocide? Al-Quds Day sparks plenty of debate$1: Howard Davidson from Independent Jewish Voices says the organization supports a “call for the end of war crimes committed by Israel.”
“To name them as crimes is only to name the truth,” he said.
Chants included: “Zionism is racism”, “God loves Israel”, and “down with the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
A verbal spat between a man and a woman resulted in her asking him: “Would you like to kill all the Muslims in the world?” to which he replied “100%.” Spare us the chosen ones are holier than rhetoric.

Hey, I'm sure he was provoked into saying that because the muslim woman punched him in the mouth while he wasn't looking, and she wasn't arrested yet HE'S the bad guy and yada yada yada

Given that Al-Quds Day was created by a regime that systematically hangs homosexuals, stones women accused of adultery, and rape their female prisoners to deny them entry to "paradise," this "celebration" is offensive to anyone with a shred of decency. That does not even includes the fact that its founder, Ayatollah Khomeini, allowed for sex with livestock and toddlers. Oh, and let us not forget that Iran is predominantly Shia while their Arab neighbors are predominantly Sunni and the two sects LOATHE each other. The Iranians would gladly wipe out the Palestinians, and then some, if they got the chance. Curtman Curtman: Spare us the chosen ones are holier than rhetoric. Well, you cannot be a supporter of equality for LGBTs and women, AND the Palestinian cause at the same time considering the Muslim world's rampant homophobia and misogyny. Pick one or the other: equality or Palestine. You cannot have both. The irony about Al-Quds day is that a few within the LGBT community protested on the homophobe/misogynists' side. They would sell out the persecuted LGBT community in the parts of the Middle East that are not Israel to stroke their own egos. I wonder if they received their thirty pieces of silver.

Why can't I just support tolerance and oppose oppression when I see it? I don't have to support Iran to condemn Israeli settlements, that's a false dichotomy. Israel chooses espansion over peace, nobody else makes that decision for them.

That is a big dog.
Israel as a state should be destroyed and rebuilt into a state that isn't based around racism and imperialism. Full rights and equal protection under the law for everyone.

TheFonz TheFonz: One sided article where all his allegations are treated as factual information, typical Toronto Dum news piece. Sure this guy was just "taking his dog out for a walk", that's why he had an Israeli flag tied to it's neck, yep, that's just standard procedure. He went out looking for confrontation, he got one, Toronto Dum got another "Muslim bad - Israel Good" fluff piece. One could say that the intolerant muslims were out looking for a confrontation and they got one. Why do they continue to instigate? Do the Jews have a national holiday calling for the destruction of the muslims?

Some of the comments on here Yeah, I can't imagine the nerve of a country that has had its existence threatened everyday of its 60 some odd year existence feeling a little intolerant and hostile towards those that have been threatening their existence. It's so easy to look at it with western world eyes because our existence has been pretty damn secure for a long time now. How many times has Israel been invaded/attacked in its short, modern day existence? And by multiple countries at once. But yeah, Israel is the problem there

Again the Xort bus pulls in and the Speshul Ed kid slurs out his drivel while he dribbles....Xorty Zimmerman should read up a little on Israel and the rights enjoyed by Israeli Arabs......something not from the Stormfront or Jihadi sites.

Israel chooses espansion over peace, nobody else makes that decision for them. Mm-hmm, and there are many openly homosexual men and women in Gaza, right? Oh, wait, Hamas probably had most of them brutally executed, hence why you do not see many pride parades or rainbow flags in Gaza. If you support the Palestinian cause, you are implicitly supporting of the oppression the LGBT community in the Middle East. Again, you can have one or the other: equality or Palestine. If you support Palestine, you just declared that you condone bigotry.
