Nowhere does it say they were told not to do it again.

But good on the IOC for allowing shorts and shirts. Should be up to the team.

Have we been watching the same Olympics ? Actually I found it ironic to say the least, the weather was overcast with a slight drizzle, everyone except the participants were in warm jackets and caps.

I thought the there was somekind of rule that women can only play in such attire, as the men's version have them in loose vests and loose shorts.

Same thing in hockey as well this year.

The folks running the marathon will be quite happy that the temperatures are cooler than they were in Beijing. From what I've seen so far London has had excellent weather (including the rain) for many of the outdoor events.

The biggest downpour was during one of the volleyball events and it had no effect on play at all.
