Explain why people drank medicinal alcohol during prohibition.
Did you just write that? Total fail.
Alcohol is addictive. When you have so many people addicted to a substance and you take it away, they result to extreme measures.
Amazingly enough, it still happens today! I had a good friend of mind drink windshield washer fluid because that's that he could get. He died days later.
So back to the discussion above, please answer my questions and don't dodge.
And yet completely average people were willing to risk it all to acquire some of it, you can't say everyone that drank it for non-medicinal reasons was addicted.
When was the last time you saw an ad telling you the dangers of pot? You probably never thought about lacing when going to a dealer because nobody ever told you about it or it hadn't happened yet. Hell, people pull stupid stunts all the time that seem like a great idea till someone gets hurt. People are remarkably stupid and I can guarantee you have made some remarkably dumb decisions too even if you don't want to admit it. Combine that with the fact that pot has a huge following in High Schools and Colleges when everyone things they are superman.
When pot is legalized you now have a store sitting on a block, advertising openly that they are a safe site since they have become a legitimate business and have obviously passed inspections. Sure it costs a little extra but I can go in and buy the pot, take a seat and smoke it on the spot or take it home. The shop also offers a wide variety of breeds so instead of going to a dealer that has one option I now have a ton of them. As a further bonus pot grow ops will decline to near non-existence as the demand for illegal pot shrinks to the point it is basically completely gone.
