But by what you've said before, business would just up sticks and move to Canada. We're certainly not going to restrict immigration, our whole identity is tied up in it.

I think we'd certainly take measure to curtail the type of "immigration" the United States is experiencing from its southern border... At least I'd hope so. We're fortunate to be bordered by three oceans and a stable world power. Take a look at the very liberal European states now revisiting their immigration protocols and even reining back the Schengen open-internal borders agreements due to mass influxes of immigrants...

We can be proud (for the most part) of our immigration system, because it is not subject to MASSIVE cross-border marches like the U.S.

Food production isn't going anywhere. Neither will slaughter houses, coal mines, and etc.
