I don't understand what that retired cop was thinking. Translation shouldn't be an option in a case like this, it should be required - no if or buts about it. Obviously the case would be dismissed if there are no translations of witnesses available. What's sad is that the prosecutor wasn't proactive and made sure translations were available before the case was dismissed - to the point of having his department pay for them and then bill the RCMP.

I dunno, EB is not very mistrusting of the media if its something about us evil moozelamics. All of the sudden the media is doing a stand up job of highlighting the real issues.

It is abhoring to see justice was denied just because of translation costs but ofcourse Brenda is right, just a another immgrant case and they should speak the language so really its her own fault for not learning the language, serves her right I say !
