Bring in the military to back up the police, and start cracking some heads. The protesters deserve little else now.

They have a police force and they are using it.

Bringing in an organization trained for killing to handle crowd control. Think of Kent State, genius.

Exactly it's civil unrest...no it's a not so civil tantrum, so the civil authorities can deal with it. Their reaction to date has been more than a little underwhelming, so things would have to be a hell of a lot more out of control

Actually, that was only a negotiating proposal offered by the Quebec Government. As expected, it was automatically rejected by the student associations.

Apparently the student associations, fed by union leaders, are talking about some kind of revolution. They do not have the slightest care for students, they only want to cause destruction and crap. And the media, not sure if out of ignorance, but they always seem to take their side. People are getting fed up of the constant protesting, mostly in Montreal.

Saw that and thought, Twits!

Being a little too right wing for Quebec politics I would be more inclined to take a different course like cancelling all credits for students who did not attend the year or missed exams. Then to add a bit more onto the pile, refuse to register any of the individuals who missed their classes and exams for the next year or the next 5 after that.

Now if the students 'want and education' they will have to find another institution in another province that will be willing to accept them with their poor academic standings at a price much higher than the one they were protesting. Sort of a form of economic justice.

My other thought on the Quebec Government's cave in offer was there you are with your hand out to the ROC for support while you bend over backwards to be even more fiscally irresponsible. Perhaps to drive the point home their transfer payments for 2012 should be spread over 7 years as well.

What an inglorious bunch of mental midgets. Just more proof that you really don't need brains at all to get into a post-secondary institution anymore.

Even professors are being arrested in illegal manifestations. What do you expect...

Quebec (the parents forfeited long ago) is raising spoiled children. No respect to authority, acclaimed by the "authority" to revolt against the system (the school board of Montreal was 'charmed' by a 91% vote in three HIGH SCHOOLS for a 'strike'), idealism and anti-reality elite chanting the 'revolution' in the media. You are witnessing the 'Quiet Decadence' of a society. The moral and ethical suicide of a mass organized by its elite and governing members.
