Well if you're for invading Russia, why even bother with sanctions. The shit would hit the fan before sanctions ever had a chance to work. Might as well do it right quick, because Putin doesn't for a minute believe we'd actually use force. So all the rattling you want wouldn't do a damn thing.

If you read my posts carefully, sound out the words and get somebody to help you with the difficult multisyllabic ones (like that one) you'd know I've been calling for much tougher sanctions, especially on the part of the Europeans.

Ah but then we go back to the point of Sanctions working just like they did/do with Cuba. Thank you for making my point of the fact that you never try to understand anyone's posts, that you fail to do anything but put people down and make snide remarks and that you have only the ability to blather away. In this case you have brought yourself right back the starting point of where you fail to understand because you are to filled with spite for others. So let me make this very simple for you.

Sanctions alone do not work over short periods of time. In best cases they take 10-20years to work. Cuba is a on going example of Sanctions that have been going on sense the 60's and still no real change with in the nation. A few years ago there was what appeared to be a slight shift in policy but nothing seems to have come from it. Thus for people who have knowledge of this along with the sanctions that were imposed on Iran in the 70's, Libya in the 80's and many more the lone statement of "Like the sanctions against Cuba" says it all.

If at this point AndyT you are still having a hard time understanding maybe it's time you backed out of the thread and study some more instead of spewing hate filled barbs and snide remarks without any substance to your comments besides a plethora of rants filled with put downs and failures to understand what others are saying. I've noticed that, he and many other in the world seem to want to use other peoples money, other peoples property, other peoples lives to do things that they never have nor ever will be willing to do themselves. Then when they don't get there way they stomp their feet, call you names, put you down in anyway they can in the lame attempt to make themselves seem like they know what is best for you because, you know you're just so ignorant that you can not think for yourself.

People like AndyT want you to let them run your life because in their opinion your life sucks. What I have found out is that when people act like that they can only feel good about themselves when others are miserable. There will be no civil war, those one that already is going on is war between Russia and Ukraine. Government supports Ukraine but at the down structures Russia buys most of them. As you see on cop video. Yesterday our militian was telling to TV that where our army goes, separatists are already waiting there. It means that someone in government is giving info to Russia about all operations. About government at next election I can't predict, but definitely it will be pro EU government.

Interesting about the militants knowing where the military will show up at. Yeah sounds like some serious high level inside information is being given to the Russians.

Putin doesn't do anything without a long term plan. Delaying the election will give him more time to stir up trouble. Having the election sooner will let the government off it's leash to defend it's territory and kick Russian troublemakers out sooner than Putin wants. Putin is responsible for the bad situation in Ukraine, delaying lets him keep making trouble.

It only makes sense to delay Ukrainian elections if you are Putin.

But it does make sense, it seems on the surface to be a good thing for the Ukraine and the West if elections were delayed. Problem is that a delay in elections leaves an interim government in charge. Though they have done an admirable job so far no interim Gov. is truly stable and the longer it lasts the more Russia can do to land grab and insert turmoil into the country via uprisings and other means to help destabilize the country. By doing this it makes it easier for him to paint the Ukraine to his country as unable to control violence towards the Russian populace and thus have justification for the land grabs.

Well, now Ukraine soldiers are kicking some ass. Good to see. And so far no move from Putin - invading Ukraine is a whole different ballgame than Crimea was. Good to see at least some Ukrainian soldiers are willing to defend their country against insurgents.
