Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
I hate the people who are a part of it.

Do you realize your hating most Canadians that are actors, musicians, artists. That go to the states not because they hate Canada or love the US more. Its because if your really good in one of those specific artistic mediums staying in Canada is consider financially a really, really dumb move. You will be paid 10x more down there for your craft than up here.

A friend of mine from High School a gifted artist chose to work for Disney than instead of ????????? this is were your suppose to cite a really sucessfull Canadian Animation company.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
They'd have a rough time for a week. Then they'd hire some Mexicans, build their own power plants. If Canada as a country existed in this scenario, they'd destroy us instead. We aren't the onyl country int he world with resources, and the States knows how to play ball for resources it needs.

It would last much longer than a week. Your a real harbinger of doom aren't you ?
If we shut down the border, they'd kill us ? They wouldn't have to kill us, we'd economically be killing ourselves if we shut down the border, ties and trade.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
If we can't survive on our own, then what are we? Are we a country? Or are we a garage?

Last time I checked were not receiving foreign aid, so we are surviving on our own. You seem to have a problem with the trade of goods between our two countries, well thats how the world works, you know reality ? In a free world every country trades goods and the US isn't our only trading partner.

Lemmy Lemmy:
Tricks Tricks:
Well they both write movies, But Paul Rudd was in I love you man, Anchorman, 40 year old virgin, Role Models (which he wrote)

Kevin Smith wrote Dogma, Clerks 1 and 2, Jay and Silent Bob strike back, zach and miri make a porno, Chasing Amy, Jersey Girl

What do you go to the movies for?

Rudd and Smith are okay, but hit and miss. Neither has put together a film that really carries the audience from start to finish. There's too much that's either gratuitous or pretentious. For Smith, the wit and warmth that he shows in "An Evening With.." and "Sold Out.." hasn't translated into his films. Clerks was original and Clerks 2 was the closest he's come to a true gem of a film. Mall Rats and Dogma were complete turkeys. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was funny, but all over the place. Jersey Girl, Chasing Amy and Zach and Miri were attempts to be more mainstream that had their moments, but had their misses too. I love that +LIVE+ tune when Zach nails Miri though...great soundtrack inclusion.

I've loved all of Smith's movies. Clerks 1 and 2 are absolutely amazing. Mall Rats and Dogma were great, Jay and Silent Bob hilarious, Jersey Girl, Chasing Amy are something a little different, and doesn't focus as much on comedy. Zach and Miri was probably his worst, but was still decent.
