I think it was 26 or 27 VCs awarded to men from the Prairie Provinces in the First World War. A really impressive amount when you consider the small population that these men were drawn from.

Yes indeed. Look where the highest scoring "Aces" came from ... the Dominions for the most part.

Showing hard facts that completely contradict Batsy's very narrow-minded pro-England beliefs... not a good way of making a friend out of him.

In 1914, England had over 5 times the population of Canada... and you have a little over 2 times the "Aces". I'm not really sure, but that doesn't sound very good. :?

You do the math.

I painstakingly counted around 669 in total for Great Britain and just 206 for Canada.

So all this pointless exercise was for was just to show how few air kills Canada had compared to mighty Great Britain and to show, yet again, your collective inferiority complex to Great Britain and all things British. Because I can't see any other reason for showing such a list.

Do the math... we had 206, you should have over 1000.

Jabberwalker Jabberwalker:

So you're trying to prove that several countries may have had more kills than Britain.

Why don't we compare Britain to Scandinavia; or the Indian Subcontinent; or the Levant?

I don't live in Essex. I live in Greater Manchester

Oh, that; too bad. Maybe, you'll receive some of our foreign aid.

I'll try again...

England had 669 aces for a population of about 46 million... so 14.5 aces per million.
Canada had 206 aces for a population of about 8 million... so 25.75 aces per million.

Who's your daddy?
