It's not just the BS remark that was offencsive to me. It's your utter failure to rebut any good points made by others. You just type "fail" and hope no one will notice that you haven't done/said anything to support your own positions or oppose others.

Sorry, but BS is BS. I'm not going to waste my time on it. Khar clearly was reaching for a Reason to support the allegation of the Thread and his idea that some Immigrants pulling their children from Music Classes was indeed that evidence is total and utter Fail.

So I'm practically alone here, big deal. Doesn't mean anything really.

Sandorski, my post was not strictly to that point, nor has Lemmy's, Eyebrock's, or anyone's posts in recent pages stayed there. Others have identified this as a symptom of a more sweeping problem impacting Canada, in more ways than one, or pointed out that the points you have made in this thread, from people already in Canada doing the same things to incorrectly applied terminology, are incorrectly applied in some way. Without response from yourself.

Unsound Unsound:
I have a question about message board etiquette. Is it inappropriate to neg-rep someone for a post they made in a discussion you haven't really been involved with? Cause this...

It's generally subject to personal opinion, but IMO if it offended it you then it is fair game for neg rep (just like if someone makes an excellent point, it is worthy of pos rep).

The problem is that some members here run to neg rep points when someone hurts their feelings. Try to avoid acting childish like that and you'll be fine.

Sand does that most frequently, then after being called on it,
usually comes back with something approaching..

"Well, if you dont know whats wrong, I'm not going to tell you."

I suspect he's a closet chick...

It is not xenophobia to resist 'immigrants' who are actually coming to your country to substantially change the culture and politics and, yes, even the predominant official language.

The French, in particular, have a problem with 'immigrants' who come to France with no intention of assimilating.

I dunno - the Germans loved French culture. They just wanted to help them run the country more efficiently.

Exactly! And those xenophobic French wanted to keep the Germans out as if there was no room in France for a little fascism!
