the best way to support the troops is to bring them out of danger and back home to their families.
of course let him do what he wants. should we destroy our liberties because of one idiot? if its allowed with one book, why should one be given status over the others? why should we be scared into giving up our freedoms? WWIII wont be started by him burning a book, if anything, it was already started on 9/11.
i dont want to piss off anyone. i never said it was a good idea to burn the books, i sad he has the right to do so, which he does. my point is with all the effort we are using to debate the issue of burning a book, we could instead discuss more relavent and pressing issues, and put pressure on the government to end the occupation.
and again, to support the troops there, and keep them out of harms way, the BEST thing we could do is stop killing civilians and occupying muslim lands, which why bin laden did what he did in the first place.
but nooooo lets continue crying about how un-politically correct it is to burn a book, even though he has the constitutional right to do it and there is nothing the feds can do about it anyways. that is much more important.

Like I said before (which, according to you was nothing impressive...), that you have the right to do something, does not mean you should.

So, you don't have a point then?
You can't even quote 2Cdo without changing his words to something you can handle.
Sad.

Sorry to interrupt this charming reparte, but this just in. $1: US pastor Terry Jones cancels Koran burning
The pastor of a small US church who wanted to burn copies of the Koran has cancelled his protest.
Terry Jones said he was calling off the Florida event after the group behind a planned mosque close to Ground Zero in New York agreed to relocate it.
Mr Jones had said the burning would be a stand against terrorism, but his plan was internationally condemned.
President Barack Obama had warned Mr Jones the event would be "a recruitment bonanza" for al-Qaeda. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-11255366

Apparently the mosque people are denying they've agreed to move their mosque. Guess that means Pastor Jones gets to have a koran-a-que on Saturday.

The way I see it, the main difference between the Koran burning and Park51 is intent.
Pastor Jones has no positive intent with this. His only goal seems to be to offend.
The stated intent of the Park51 project is to build bridges and understanding between the faiths.
You can argue over whether that's Imam Rauf's actual intent and over how it will actually be percieved in the muslim world, but the stated public reason for it is positive.
