Well, when I critique the police, I'm thinking of the cops who give the orders. They do bear some responsibility. I don't know how much of a Chretien McGuinty played, but I'm sure Herpes is laughing all the way to the voting booth.

Well, Mr Conflator, I mean Carter, there you go again - the spitters and screamers didn't destroy stuff. They might not be playing well with others, but it's not a reason to charge at them them with clubs - you do have face shields, right. And are you seriously claming that during the worst of the black bloc damage, the police were present in any sort of numbers?

Protecting life and people from injury is above protecting private property when it comes to how any officer makes choices in Canada at least. These Black Bloc (lame ones compared to Europe's) were doing this in hopes that the police would engage. If this happened there would have been certain injury and the police would have walked into their hands allowing them the real photo ops they wanted. Although considering most of those losers could not break store windows even with news paper boxes I doubt they'd be able to even bruise and officer in riot gear.

Could the police have squashed this while it was happening? Sure, but then we'd be discussing police brutality here instead so it was lose lose. Police chose the lose option that was safest for them and the Black Blocheads. Those kids should be thanking the cops for not busting their heads in.

Oh, the peaceful protesters inside the perimeter who were in defiance of orders to leave? Perhaps you care to rephrase that as Breach of the Peace-ful protesters.
