You can still be a "proud & real" Canadian without hating the U.S. I dont know where you picked this shit up but showing it off like its something to be proud of is not as cool as you think it is.

If it work your way, by stopping "American shit" from coming into our country we'd all be living in the stone ages. We share the same language the same border, we benifit greatly from each other. I would wager most countries in the world envy our geographic location.

I never watched either of the Matrixes. Nor Lord of the Rings, Star Wars/Trek, etc... Hell, most of the movies I do watch have either Mike Myers or Jim Carrey.

Why? What do you possibly gain from that? Lord of the Rings and Star Wars are actually masterpieces in the world of film. The imagery and literature that goes with it is astounding. By cutting yourself off from arguably the center of creativity in the world, you will lose out on so much. The books, the movies, the music and the creativity that comes out of the U.S. is amazing and can be life changing.

What I've always found funny is that someone can say (like C) that they hate American culture. And people will let it go. Replace American with Black, or Muslim, or Native, and a shit storm will start. The double standard is sad.
