But we're so nice. Everybody knows that Canadians are so nice.. :D

Maybe the problem is the definition of the term Canadian.

Thanos Thanos:
I'm assuming by this stage in the liberal rant that the government basically has a responsibility to ensure that all Canadian citizens (Khadr, Brenda Martin, that murdering turd on death row in Montana, that pedophile in jail in Thailand, etc.)outside of Canada get an official carte blanche to do whatever criminal or murderous activity they want to in foreign lands without fear of ever having to face local or international justice. Well, holy crap Jeebus, ain't all us lucky Canucks just so durned special these days, eh? Rampage, steal, rape, and kill all you want. It's OK 'cause you're a Canadian! [B-o] [drool] XD  Watch out world, it's party-time Canadian-style!

Canadians = teflon coated. Nothing ever sticks to any of us, especially those silly and annoying laws of all of those backwards foreigners.

This post redeems the 7 pages of bullshit that I have to read through to get to this point.

I'm getting sick of Harper playing the 'fear' card. He's starting to sound like one of those politicians south of 49.

What all these Liberal freaks that write in fail to read is the first paragraph, "3 successive governments."
Also the kid was captured on the battlefield and his citizenship affords him no rights at all, there's a reason the Cretan and Martin didn't touch him either. My Opinion....my opinion, it is opinion I'm stating is that we need to send a message that Canadian bred terrorists will get no help from the government. In fact we should be leading the cry of prosecute the sob.

If found guilty, a good hanging.
Ummm....Scuse me! We unfortunately abolished the death penalty. So thats not an option.

This a military matter that is not for our courts! But for a military tribunal to decide.

This was the one that caught my eye:

Do you have anything of value to add here, meaden? Or do you plan to sling yet more insults?

I would imagine that Geneva would apply but the alternative would be the law of the country where the crime happened. Would it be better if we released him to the Afghan government?

The Geneva convention does not apply in any case where the enemy combattant isn't wearing a uniform if I understand it correctly.
