Brady's a pocket passer and could probably make it because he has height something Manziel doesn't have. The CFL might be good for Manziel, he has the talent just needs to get his shit together and he's a bigger ass than Kaepernick.

Given it take a CFL QB a couple of years to develop I can't see someone with Manziel's ego comming up here and sitting on the bench for that period of time. Besides there's likely only one team that'd take a chance on him and that's Montreal who'd do it for publicity alone like they did with Michael Sam. Although Nelson Skalbania did bring up such notables as Vince Ferragamo, James Scott, David Overstreet, Keith Gary, Fred Belitnikoff and Billy "White Shoes" Johnson all who instrumental in provining that the CFL isn't always compatible with NFL players.

Michael Sam was drafted because he was openly gay which put pressure on him to live up to the hype and he didn't. The CFL produced greats like Doug Flutie and Warren Moon maybe Manziel should have gone there first instead of the NFL.

You can't seriously be comparing Johnny Football to Moon and Flutie? They were extraordinary talents who's ability to play football transcended two leagues. Johnny Manziel is a train wreck who threw whatever ability he had under the bus when he choose his addictions and lifestyle over football.

So the answer is no. He could have come up here right out of college and he still wouldn't have made it because to succeed as a QB up here you have to have alot of mental acuity which, is something the plodding, thought addled, party hardy Manziel never possessed. In hindsight though, had he accepted a scholarship to Texas Christian instead of Texas Agricultural and Mechanical his life and career might have taken a different path.

But on a happier note. It's nice to see that Mr. Kapernick is fighting to keep his job because, it makes my first assumption about the reasoning for his actions all the more likely.
