Come on OTI, the only reason you sign the praise for circumcision is because you are circumcised. If you weren't, you'd be on Zip's side.

Maybe you should take a look at that obsession you have of comparing your junk to others every chance you get. It's not healthy, I say. 8O

Zipperfish Zipperfish:
No, I don't recall claimingthat at all.

You see, this is where to get that OTL moniker.

You claim circumcision is mutilation.

Mutilation is a crime.

A crime committed almost always on a child.

By your definition, we turn a blind eye to the abuse and mutilation of a child because the process was grandfathered in.

Your words, Zip. Not mine.

Doubtful.

Yea, because talking about a penis and it's appearance is problem....What is this, elementary school?

What I've observed over the years is that when someone goes over the top defending themselves, it's either insecurity, envy or both. 8)

To you perhaps. I`m not 100% sold on the idea we should we slicing up infants on the basis of aesthetics, which are entirely subjective.

Mutilation is not a crime. It's an industry. "Body Modification" I think they call it. Circumcision is an ancient custom. It undoubtedly has some advantages in societies that have yet to discover the health benefits of basic hygiene. Most medical associations, including many in Canada and the US, have deemed the operation medically unnecessary.

For example, the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons states:

$1:
Infant male circumcision was once considered a preventive health measure and was therefore adopted extensively in Western counties. Current understanding of the benefits, risks and potential harm of this procedure, however, no longer supports this practice for prophylactic health benefit. Routine infant male circumcision performed on a healthy infant is now considered a non-therapeutic and medically unnecessary intervention.

As it is medicially unnecessary and painful, the decision with respect to my son was an easy one. On the other hand, apart from being painful, there doesn't seem to be much harm associated with it, and, like the wearing of funny hats, its very important to some religious folks.

First off, I'm not defending myself. I started in on the topic when someone incorrectly stated there was no benefit to such a procedure.

Secondly, why would anyone with a circumcised penis be any of the above you mentioned? Quite often, those feelings go the opposite way.

Zipperfish Zipperfish:
Mutilation is not a crime.

Yes it is. You can't mutilate someone else and especially not a child, that's against the law.

Are you being deliberately obtuse, OTL?

"I support circumcision because it isn't mutilation, because it isn't 'damage' because it makes your dick look better and if it was mutilation it would be against the law, right?"

I'm not particularly interested in arguing semantics with you. Whether or not cutting the foreskin off the penis off is mutilation does not change my thoughts on the subject one iota. My argument has nothing to do with the technical definition of mutilation, the legal definition of aggravated assault or the ostensible esthetic benefits of a cut penis. It's medically unnecessary and painful, so I don't support it.

It's been a while since we've had the "cut/uncut" discussion.
I wonder if we'll all agree on which one is best this time.

I called it... page 1. 8)

I think we should just let the ladies, and the gay dudes, vote on it and then call it sttled.

You're going to have a dick judging contest? Some guys will do anything to flaunt their dicks I guess. Leave me out of it.

But we'd have to make sure that every voter has played around with at least 1 penis of each category... somebody else's penis, not your own.

Hopefully, this will eliminate Zip and OTI from voting, but we can't be sure. 8O

Which is perfectly fine. However, you don't have to run around calling it something its not to make your point. [B-o]
