Inevitable much?

And you've got to wonder...

What's going to happen when some combination of an Improved Iraqi Military, shia militias, and a coalition of the willing go in on the ground and deal with ISIS?

What's the aftermath going to look like? I mean these are just Yazidis. What's going to happen when it's Iran and Hezbollah who have the upper hand?

I say we take off, nuke the MidEast from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

The cycle of retribution will go on for centuries. It's how the moslems roll. All of them.

If you start at the 15 minute mark of the one below you'll see the Shia Militias in the south have already begun the cleansing of Sunnis where they move in. This while the earlier part of the vid shows them allying with some Sunnis in the actual fighting.

Also, the Shia Miltia guys say the front line IS fighters they kill are all foreigners.

Makes sense. ISIS commanders are tribal. Why would they send their uncles and cousins in there.

"Hey you...Canada. Grab a bomb belt and get on the truck." That's the way it works. Oh well, that kind of stupidity gets that kind of reward, I guess.

Also from the video: the Shia militia fighting ISIS hate the US, and don't seem that friendly to the existing Iraqi government. So even should ISIS be taken down there's still that.

Back the Kurds. Tell Erdogan and Khamenei to go fuck themselves. That's the smart play, but you won't see anything like a smart play until at least after the 2016 election.

I didn't used to believe in retribution but you're starting to convince me otherwise.

You read stories like this one and it's hard to feel bad for ISIS collaborators.
http://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/isis-terror/isis-terror-yazidi-woman-recalls-horrors-slave-auction-n305856

And it's not like this is a Muslim thing. A lot of Nazi collaborators got strung up after the war.

You never believed in capital punishment, or CIA torture? What are those if not retribution? Do Conservatives not invoke 9/11 to shrug off the massive 6-figure civilian death toll in Iraq? Is that not an endorsement of retribution?

Got nothing to do with Islam. It's an Arabic thing that went on for centuries before the advent of Islam.
Although it's not really fair to say it's just an Arabic thing because there's a lot of internecine violence around the world where religion is not the root cause.

Well before Islam, the inhabitants of what's now Iraq weren't Arab. Arabs come from what's now Saudi Arabia, and Iraqis today are just culturally Arab.

Perhaps, the modern Iraqis are descendants of Mesopotamians who were forced to speak Arabic by invading Arab armies. What language did they speak in ancient Ur?

They were still all Semites, speaking dialects of a Proto-Semitic language that later coalesced into Hebrew, Arabic, Phoenician, Akkadian, Sumerian etc . Arabic was only one branch of the language group, just as English belongs to the West Germanic language group( more specifically North Sea Germanic or Ingvaeonic).
