He only ever needed to ask "Do you want me to pull this car over?" one time when they were acting up, and always got silence after that. Worked for a few years, anyhow.

Absolute bullshit. Next time you see a parent waling away at his kid, you can't say anything because you don't have kids? Emotional abuse can be far more hurtful than physical abuse. Threats of abandonment is getting up there on the scale. At least a child that's being beaten can tell herself her parents love her, that's why they beat her. Not so with "we're going to get rid of you."

Neither is emotional abuse. Yet you seem to have no problem with it, "can't comment."

As I said, it can do far more damage than physical abuse. And I didn't troll you, you said you can't get involved in parenting methods. For many parents, assault is a parenting method, and they come out with the same bullshit you did, that you can't comment because you don't have kids.
