Omg, RIP Roderick Toombs, AKA Rowdy Roddy Piper. The absolute best "bad guy" personality in the history of fake wrestling, can still remember his antics in "Pipers Pit". I haven't watched wrestling since I was a kid but I would be surprised if there has ever been a funnier personality.

There will never be a "heel" like Rowdy Roddie Piper. Possibly the best character ever to rassle in the squared circle. RIP Rod.

Got to meet Roddy some years ago in Florida. Got to "hang" with him and a few other wrasslers at the Medieval Knights Dinner and Tourney in Orlando. I put hang in quotes because they happened to be sitting behind us and I got to talk to them through the evening. Roddy was and still is my all-time favourite wrasslin' "bad guy" and one of my all time favourite wrasslers.

Wow this totally sucks! I was reading his obituary and I am saying to myself: there is no way this guy was only 61 years old. That is only 10 years older than me. I was watching this guy when I was a pre teen. I thought they made a mistake on his age. It was not until I goggled him and found out that he turned pro at the age of 15!!! What a talent!!! I remember back in the day when I was a kid and thought it was all real, and not sports entertainment. No one could get my blood pressure up to the danger zone like the hot rod! Quite possibly the greatest heel to ever step foot in the squared circle. No one was better at working a room than Roddy. Rowdy Rhonda Rousey has dedicated her fight tonight to the hotrod. I have decided to pay for the event in his honor. I was on the fence about subscribing as most of her fights are very short, but that totally sealed the deal for me.

RIP Hotrod. You will be missed!

As Rick said Rhonda Rousey entered last night's fight to Roddy's theme music, pasted the shit out of that mook who made those stupid faces at her during the weigh-in, and dedicated her win afterwards to him and her late dad. Good on you, lass. Scotland Forever!
