What authority does the UN have to enforce anything they proclaim? None. Crisis averted. We now return you to our regularly scheduled program.
They have no power unless of course, your duly elected leaders opt to give it to them. So like I said, we'll wait and see because, if Canada suddenly changes their stance on these capital projects and decides to sign off on it like they did with the UN's Global Compact on migration of Refugees we'll know who's issuing the marching orders.

The UN is there to protect human rights. The Supreme Court of Canada has ruled that indigenous people have the right to be consulted before anything is done on their lands.
The UN is reminding the Government of Canada of that responsibility. Nothing more.
