You can hear some blaming the EU pretty loud, but I don't know. It was Trudeau who screwed us with it, and we still won't do anything about it, even though we have had some problems of our own, and we can look across the pond and see where we're heading.

Somebody above said it shouldn't matter if the problem of forced marriages can be traced to a particular culture or cultures, because it's wrong in any case.

If you read Bart's link to the piece in the Guardian it will illustrate the problem with that sort of thinking. Leftist media will not tell you any specific cultural, or ideological sources for perps in these kinds of cases.

They mention two types of crimes and group them together as a single issue. Here's the problem with that. The Sexual Grooming Gangs are Muslim, and have ideological spurs, and problems in control from the host nation. However sex slavery of the sort they speak of is more a commercial crime. It doesn't need to be dealt with culturally, or on an ideological level.

This video clip from the Michael Coren show goes into the issue of ignoring cultural causes from the forced marriage perspective.
