Even if she was offering sex for tickets, what's the problem.
Did they need to send several police to meet and arrest her, then press charges and prosecute.
Imagine how much this is costing taxpayers, all that to protect them from this obviously dangerous offender. 8O

While funny and embarassing for her it is against the law to solicit sex for any payment (unless your a gold digger with a sugar daddy) and with all the focus about personal ads on Craiglist these days I'm not surprised they busted her, I am surprised they let it get this far, they should have met with her, detyermined how far she was willing to go and then surprise I'm a cop and could arrest you (unless you have sex with me).
Truthfully I'd be mortified to be her husband, if my wife ever sold her ass for anything (let alone something as trivial as base ball tix) her ass would be on the street.

It was probably her husband's idea.

 That reminds me of the time my wife and I watched that movie "Indecent Proposal". After the film, my wife asked whether I thought I could get a million dollars for a night with her. I said "I doubt I could get $1M for one night, but I could likely get fifty dollars 20,000 times."

You're married, so your wife will probably "cost" you as least a million over the span of your marriage.
I doubt you'll get in 20,000 shots though.

I don't know how much tickets are for the world series but i'm quite sure it's more than a hooker. Maybe if she was offering to be a sex slave with her friends for 1 week...

Actually, Canadian laws are different than American laws. Prostitution is not illegal here. Soliciting for the purpose of prostitution is, and living off the avails of prostitution, and operating a common bawdy house; but not prostitution itself. As many lawyers for prostitutes have pointed out, this means prostitution as a hobby is Ok, but as a profession it is not. So for a woman to sell herself to some old guy for furs or jewellery or other trinkets is Ok and considered normal, but selling sex for money is not. Canada's soliciting laws are tricky; basically you can imply but can't explicitly offer sex for payment. From the details of the news article it sounds like she did exactly that. So she actually didn't do anything illegal, at least not under Canadian law.

I would argue this is a case where American culture and Canadian culture are dramatically different. Under Canadian morals, what she did is perfectly acceptable and legal. The Americans are the ones who push porn but at the same time panic at anything smelling of a sex scandal. They are contradictory, their twisted view that anything fun should be illegal is also in contradiction to the principle in their own Declaration of Independence that says they have the inalienable right to "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness". In some ways they are as backward as the Taliban. What that woman did is not morally wrong.

Of course if I had a wife and she had sex with anyone else for any reason, she would be so out of there. I'm not married but several years ago did live common law with a woman, and had asked her to marry me. We were engaged; had been living together for over 11 months when we had a conflict of responsibilities: I had promised to be an usher at a cousin's wedding, while she had set her heart on attending a club event. We had attended a wedding on her side and my side already, so I thought we could withstand one weekend apart. The first night we spent apart she found some stranger and fucked him. Then expected me to accept her maintaining an affair with him while continuing to live with me. After two weeks of hell, we were separated. I won't go through that again; if any woman is unfaithful for any reason she is so outa-there. After her I met another woman; after being with this second woman for a couple weeks she told me she was bisexual and her previous relationship had a husband and co-wife; and every so often their husband brought a third woman home for them all to play with. She asked me to do that. I was shocked, didn't know what to say. Then at another club event she hit on other women right in front of me while treating me like I didn't exist. That's when I decided to dump her. But that's my decision; the law has no place in the bedroom. Infidelity is grounds for divorce, not grounds for arrest. There must be a punishment for those who breach the bounds of marriage, but that is done in divorce court, not by some uninvolved party deciding to through one of the spouses in jail.
