What difference does top draft pick make? The Oilers are just terrible when it comes to the draft. anyone remember Nick Stadujar? Steve Kelly? Jason Bonsignore? The list is almost endless...

The Oilers will find some way to fuck that up too, by drafting someone else, or wonder boy will turn out to be a big time bust or wipe out his career with a otrn ACL or something. The year the draft was in Edmonton (1995), they could have had Shane Doan, and instead chose Steve Kelly

They haven't been able to draft worth shit since the 80s (must have used up all their luck picking guys like Lowe, Fuhr, Coffey, et al).

No, what I'm saying is that the Oilers are the one team that always seem to find a way to screw up the draft.

The Oilers must have sold their souls to the Devil for all those draft picks in the early 80s (or have a voodoo curse on them), because no matter who they pick, they always turn out a bust or blow out their knee or something.

Guys like Robbie Schremp are a perfect example of the Oilers inability to draft.
