42 down to 39 grams of sugar? Oh the humanity.

WTF that's still 9.285 teaspoons of sugar vs 10 teaspoons. So, I seriously doubt anyone who's just drank one of their undeclared stimulants will be able to tell the difference given they'll be experiencing an intense sugar high with or without that other 3 grams.

Coke used to have a product called C2. It was original "Classic Coke" but with half the sugar. I only ever saw it once before Coke discontinued it from lack of sales, which I would assume is because they NEVER advertised they had such a product.

It's a shame too because it tasted just like Coke is supposed to taste, just not as sweet.

Yeah that C2 disappeared too quick. Now Pepsi is selling Pepsi Next with 30% less sugar, I prefer that.
There's a bit revival in 'old fashioned' pop that uses cane sugar again. Way too much cane sugar, they're disgustingly sweet.

Ugh, I can't drink Pepsi, too watery/flat. But yeah, some of the soda pops that reverted back to sugar cane didn't really help the sweetness when they just loaded it up with cane sugar instead of using high fructose corn syrup.

I mean hell, if they're worried about losing sales because of the decreased sugar intake, just crank up the caffeine level

About 20 years back they made a Pepsi with no sugar, no sweetener. Just cola and carbonated water. I liked that one too.
Nestle Madarin Spring water. Reallu fizzy. Not sweet at all.

Shoppers has a LIFE brand citrus spring water that's really fizzy and not too sweet. It's actually quite refreshing, it's also $3/litre 8O

I'd be interested in trying a sugar-free AND artificial sweetner-free Coke for sure. And none of that stevia crap either, blah.
