If you want a different definition, you're going to have to show why the calls for other groups, other people would then want defined as terrorist wouldn't fit. For example who would be left out of your new definition in the groups below?

2) Mosques funded by Wahhabi money, connected to extremism by word or deed.

3) Muslim Brotherhood

4) Salafis

5) Sunnis

6) All Muslims
