Anybody who believe we have a functioning justice system populated by rational and intelligent people is freakin delusional 8O

I guess given this ruling and the fact that fear now plays the most important role in what constitutes a crime, we can expect that murder will no longer be considered murder anymore if the victim wasn't scared because he didn't know it was coming or that rape will no longer be considered rape anymore if the victim was rendered unconscious

$1:
The teller had a “thick skin,” the judge found. “While others might have reasonably been frightened, she did not experience any fear at all… There was no robbery.

I guess this guy can carry on robbing banks because he didn't create a sufficient amount of fear in this victim to warrant being called a "bank robber" and is just a poor misguided "thief" who we as a society failed.

Another disgusting ruling by someone who's mental makeup and acumen is better suited to be a cat herder than the member of a society sworn to uphold the law and protect Canadian citizens.

Classic social liberal mental gymnastics on full display with this kind of ruling. As the old saying goes, this judge is so open minded his goddamn brain fell out of his skull.

This "judge" should be removed from his position immediately. He personifies everything that is wrong with our legal system.

We haven't had a justice system in well over 20 years or more. :(

So why didn't the judge rule the guy received a gift then? Maybe charge the employee with embezzlement?
