Ever notice how the ultra-rich of the left - Steyer, Soros, Buffet - don't generally create, build, produce anything. They more just move money around.
There's exceptions, of course, like maybe Gates, but the largest portion of them are more money-managers.
They invest in companies which give them the finances to run and expand. That's the name of the game, profit from investment, a win/win. The equity markets are a major contributor to Americas success.
Surely you don't want people to just give you money from someone elses stash to bestow the local crony? Like say a taxpayer being fleeced so some ideologue can circumvent the capitalist market and build windmills on someone elses dime? Without profit or repayment. To those I say nice system Comrade.
What's more telling is how some take taxpayers money to build things nobody wants, but they themselves don't see it in their vision to invest their own money on the same technologies...
