It's too bad this will never fly but, I say we force the federal politicians to live on what veterans are paid on a monthly basis(scrap the one time lump sum payment, it's bullshit). They'd get paid once a month and have to submit documentation every month proving that they were on the job. No documentation means no paycheque that month.
