I really feel bad for Americans. They were so poorly served by NBC.

The reason NBC cut it off is simple. We are not Americans, therefore, we don't matter. Plus they saw a chance to make a buck. Ahh the pursuit of happiness!

The Olympics actually cost NBC about 200 million in lost revenue, but they are apparently saying that it still helped people remember that NBC exists. It was funny too, I was streaming it online from a British feed before my internet screwed up, but if the Brits can air it commercial free, why the heck can't the Americans, lol.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada:
The Olympics weren't profitable for them? There were millions who wanted to watch the Olympics...

I don't actually know how much, if any, profit NBC made, or if it would be better if they were more honourable with the coverage. But I would assume so.

The prediction was that they'd lose $200 million. That's when they're the sole network in the US providing coverage.

I guess the powers that be at NBC decided a "reality" show was more important than actual reality. Sad. Their viewers got screwed.

NBC stands for Nitwitted Broadcaster of Crap. I feel so bad for the Americans who wanted to watch.

They must of learned this from CBC when they were screwing up curling, " We're going to break way from curling at the top of the hour, but you can watch the 10th end of this exciting game on our Bold channel."
