I'm sure you can't have the appeaeance of a sonic boom, I'm also fairly sure (correct me if I'm wrong) that pilots of fighter aircraft aren't allowed to break the sound barrier over metro areas unless in actual combat.
F-18's fly over our house in Calgary fairly regularily, the kids think it's the coolest and it doesn't bother me at all

Warthogs can't exceed the speed of sound. Mach .5 is their limit.

But, yes. Supersonic is only allowed in certain areas. Sarnia isn't one of them.

I think Sarnia is being a big baby. Tell the Warthogs to fly over Windsor, I'd love to hear/see them. I see/hear Chinooks a lot more though, which is still a pretty neat sight

Dow Chemical(if it's still there) hasn't had any major accidents in a long time now so Sarnia's desperate to get SOME mention in the news somehow, so people don't forget it exists

Big deal their A10's no sonic boom from these aircraft, no wonder their nick name is called flying pigs.

They do however get loud when they fire this off...

Wellll from what I understand, there's a group or 3 of F-15's at that same base as well. Not that it matters cuz like I said, if they were producing(creating? generating?) sonic booms, Sarnia would know it.

EDIT* oops, never mind, it was F-16's and they don't fly there no more.

gaaahhh, hate to do this....but that's an anti-armor weapon....not a stinger, you'd need to be one hell of a shot to peg a jet with one of those
