One of the problems with living next door to our wonderful neighbour is the amount of illegal handguns that are smuggled across the border. On average handguns make up about 65% of all firearms deaths each year with almost all of those firearms originating from the USA and while the problem of illegal American guns is far worse in Mexico, we need to take American smuggling of firearms more seriously on a national level before some Mayor or Premier is forced to act at a local level.
