If Assad is overthrown, then we can offer help to the new government...and strongly encourage them to write a constitution before they hold elections, that upholds Syria's current secular and egalitarian society(secular and egalitarian by Arab standards). The Syrian minorities[Druze(4%), Kurds(8%), Shia Muslims(15%) and Christians - 10% of the Syrian population, which is the same in Egypt] are feeling a little uncomfortable seeing how other 'revolutions' have gone.
