Well isn't that special. When the Americans impose tariff's to protect their market share they're nothing but protectionist assholes but, when Canada does it everything's good.

But I guess we wouldn't have had to imposed those restrictions if that meanie Donald hadn't put his tariffs on all that steel being dumped in his country.

Recall, he did it because 'national security'. Now that action is skewing the market price, making it easier for the Chinese to dump their crap on us. Something Trump claimed was already happening!

If we don't take steps to protect the integrity of our steel supply, we'll see 'Genoa' in 20 years because of it.

Now there's US tariffs on us, there's no bargoons on their steel. They're using their own money to buy their own steel, paying more and not earning shit exporting any.

Then why are we doing it to. Shouldn't we be embracing all this low cost Chinese steel that just became available and is flooding into our markets?

The US was a dumping ground of Chinese steel for years and nobody bitched about it but when they do something about it that affects us, it's all the American's fault. Sorry but that doesn't wash especially since it's really our supposed friends from across the pond who are at fault.

And for the record it isn't protectionism when you exercise common sense to protect your own industries and economy. So, Trudeau is absolutely correct in putting tariffs on Chinese steel but for us to accuse the US of being the problem when we're going to do the same thing is utter anti Trump rhetoric.
