This guy continues to amuse me! He'll trust the word of an Aussie who is wanted on rape charges, but not the word of people sworn to protect him and his country? Must be backwards year, this 2017.

It was me: Sworn Trump enemy John McCain admits HE handed smear dossier to FBI - as details surface of document's bizarre journey from Moscow
$1: Sworn Donald Trump enemy John McCain admitted Wednesday that he passed the dossier of claims of a Russian blackmail plot against the president-elect. The Arizona senator issued a public statement amid mounting questions of his exact role in the affair - and how a document riddled with errors and unverifiable claims came to be published. 'Late last year, I received sensitive information that has since been made public,' he said. 'Upon examination of the contents, and unable to make a judgment about their accuracy, I delivered the information to the Director of the FBI. 'That has been the extent of my contact with the FBI or any other government agency regarding this issue.' http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4108960/How-Trump-s-nemesis-John-McCain-kicked-Kremlin-memo-scandal-handing-dossier-FBI-sending-emissary-abroad-collect-it.htmlDid 4Chan Troll The CIA?
$1: On Tuesday night, BuzzFeed News published an explosive, yet completely unverified, dossier alleging that President-elect Donald Trump engaged in a whole host of, shall we say unusual, sexual activities in Moscow. Matt already wrote about the basics of the report and the blackmail threat, so I'm not going to delve into that. http://townhall.com/tipsheet/christinerousselle/2017/01/10/did-4chan-troll-the-cia-n22698114chan Claims It Invented the Trump Golden Showers Story
$1: The forum alleged an anonymous user invented Tuesday’s bombshell about Donald Trump and Russian prostitutes—and then passed it onto a Republican operative. But there’s a weak stream of proof. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2017/01/10/4chan-claims-they-invented-the-trump-golden-showers-story.htmlTrump Intelligence Allegations

DrCaleb DrCaleb: BRAH BRAH: Sounds like Fake News Bullshit. Yes, all those sources are known for their fake news stories. Don't let TDS get in the way, this story is possibly Fake News with the corrupt media pushing it the same corrupt media who were caught in bed with the Clinton campaign so they have no credibility. Certain US intelligence agencies have become politicized over the last 8 years and with Trump's threats of cleaning their house like the Fake News they have no credibility.

Bleating like a sheep doesn't become you. If McCain had evidence that a potential presidential candidate was influenced by Russia - what was he supposed to do? Keep it to himself? And if the FBI followed through, and found credible evidence that it was true, should they also keep it to themselves? And should the media also keep those report to themselves? The only way democracy functions properly is if the Press is free. Free to make shit up, and free to call the Emperor naked.

Or do you doubt the veracity of those claims because Assange is wanted by the USA for publishing the NSA documents?

Ha not a sheep, McCain hates Trump so his motives are questionable and the intelligence agencies have become politicized so their motives are questionable especially when they have a President coming into office who's going to clean their house. It's like the same opposition Kennedy faced when the bay of pigs invasion failed and he threatened to break the CIA into a million pieces because he blamed them for it. There is no such thing as a free press or a press anymore. Trump skips them using social media to get out his message, the so called free press (The Washington Post) turned on Snowden because it became politically beneficial to.

I never cared much for Assange, but I don't condone the false rape accusations against him because Manning decided to leak information through Assange. But when my intelligence community issues me warnings, I am prepared to heed them over some foreign national who does not have my best interests at heart. Especially if I'm the PEotUS.

If McCain hated Trump, he'd give that information to the press, not the FBI. Before Trump was elected, not now. And 'politicized' intelligence agencies assumes that the average Agent is working for the good of the Bureau, not of the US. Do you really think that's the case? And there are lots of respectable media organizations out there. It just the righties dismiss them as having a Liberal bias. That leaves them only with the alt-right post-truth sheep herders. As Stephen Colbert said, Truth has a Liberal bias. Baaaaah!

Lemmy Lemmy: DrCaleb DrCaleb: As Stephen Colbert said, Truth has a Liberal bias. Baaaaah! And that's what's lost on conservatives. They don't understand that so-called "Liberal" media, whether the CBC or Toronto Star or Washington Post ARE the news, in the classic sense of what "the news" used to mean: reporting with journalistic integrity. But somehow that last part stopped meaning anything to conservatives. Truth became secondary to dogma. Remember the Rob Ford story? Conservatives didn't like to hear it. They RAGED about the Star. But how'd that story turn out? Just like it was reported by the Star. Why? Because it was the truth. It amuses me too that both Trump and the Kremlin are using the term 'witch hunt' a lot. Hmmmmmmm. Even The Guardian is weighing in, and things are seeming more and more credible as it progresses. $1: An official in the US administration who spoke to the Guardian described the source who wrote the intelligence report as consistently reliable, meticulous and well-informed, with a reputation for having extensive Russian contacts.
Some of the reports – which are dated from 20 June to 20 October last year – also proved to be prescient, predicting events that happened after they were sent.
One report, dated June 2016, claims that the Kremlin has been cultivating, supporting and assisting Trump for at least five years, with the aim of encouraging “splits and divisions in western alliance”.
It claims that Trump had declined “various sweetener real estate deals offered him in Russia” especially in developments linked to the 2018 World Cup finals but that “he and his inner circle have accepted a regular flow of intelligence from the Kremlin, including on his Democratic and other political rivals.”
Most explosively, the report alleges: “FSB has compromised Trump through his activities in Moscow sufficiently to be able to blackmail him.” The president-elect has not responded to the allegations.
CNN reported on Tuesday that the FBI was still investigating the credibility of the documents but added that the intelligence chiefs had included a summary of the material in a secret briefing on Russian interference in the election delivered last week to Barack Obama and Donald Trump.
. . .
The FBI does not normally make any comment on ongoing counter-intelligence investigations but was under increasing pressure from Democrats and some Republicans to act before the inauguration, particularly because of Comey’s announcement of a continuing investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server 11 days before the election, which many of her supporters believe cost her the presidency.
