Fail. C'mon, you didn't really expect the CBC to write anything even remotely negative involving the Natives , did you?

Fail. C'mon, you didn't really expect the CBC to write anything even remotely negative involving the Natives , did you? WTF? It's straightforward reporting of the court decision, which went against the natives. Talk about blinkered bias. And Caleb, what does this have to do with the algae bloom?

andyt andyt: And Caleb, what does this have to do with the algae bloom? The purpose of the iron dump was to create an algae bloom that would in turn feed fish and in turn cause a salmon boom making the native fisheries more sustainable. It seems as though it may have backfired, creating a toxic bloom and decimating the fishery instead.

PA9 can't seem to differentiate between the Globe and Mail and CBC. The CBC report Hyack posted was also written by the Canadian Press, but has nothing to do with the Globe and Mail article.

Feel free to quote from the CBC article exactly WHERE this straightforward reporting of the court decision took place. Not the G&M article, the CBC article. Annnnnnd, go.

And by the way asshole, the CBC story came from the AP not the Canadian Press!

See, that's the problem with not quoting things people reply to. There's is no context.

You're attributing an algae bloom that stretches from California to Alaska to the dumping of 100 tons of iron oxide around Haida Gwaii? What information do you have that the scientists don't?

You were wrong. Too late to try to double-down now. Just slink off, lick your wounds and come back another time...probably to get your ass handed to you again.

What information do you have that the scientists don't? I agree with Andy on this one. The El Nino conditions in the ocean right now are most likely responsible for the toxic algae, not a minor experiment whose effects are logically too dilute to affect the entire Pacific coast of North America.

1. Caleb cites the G&M story right after Hyack posts the CBC story. That would seem to indicate that Caleb thinks there's a link between them.
2.PA9 certainly seems to think so, since he assumes that the CBC story left out the G&M information.
3. Since PA9 posted right after Caleb posted the G&M article, I assumed he was responding to it. I now realize he thought there was a connection between the first and second article. Which there is not. The actions of the Haida have nothing to do with an algae blook that stretches down the whole west coast. Let's get real here.
