Well you know those Brit's tight rear ends do not expel gas thus a fart gun would be deemed offensive.

Well, after all those years of doing battle with those little green Frosty Lucky Charms Leprocauns, they are naturally suspicious of any fresh security threats.

What a Mickey Mouse security detail.

Dublin? Didn't think the Irish had gone as far into stupidity as the British have.

I'm not convinced that the perceived danger is a question of them not realizing this is a toy as much as it is a question of it being a hollowed out container capable of housing actual dangerous items or materials.

It also emits a banana scented liquid which could be replaced with a noxious chemical.

It is an actual security threat, no matter how hilarious you think it is.

This is similar to the way a super soaker filled with sarin or chloroform would be dangerous.

Name an item. Any item. Piece of cloth. Paperback novel. Doesn't matter. Can we think of a way it might be weaponized?

I was hoping to keep this one from getting too 'OMG!. This is really cereal guys.'

But what the Hell. If you're determined - Passenger profiling, the Israeli Method, better idea than roughing toddlers up for their fart guns, skin frisking a nun or a crying kid, or digging through an old-timer's colostomy bag...

Now you go.

Just curious Del. Are you more freaked out because of the word "gun" or because there might be "Minions"?

Listen, you right wingers hold the reigns when it comes to infringement on personal freedoms in the name of security. I'm just astute enough to realize that sometimes even a harmless shoe can be a bomb. A device that holds and emits vapors seems more dangerous.

Uhhhh did you actually read the story. The toy was taken from the kid at Dublin airport AFTER they had flown in from the UK!!
$1:
Mother Daire Fitzpatrick, who was returning to Ireland from the UK with her son Leo, took to Facebook to vent her despair over the incident.

So uh, yeah. They took the toy from the kid so it couldn't potentially be used on the plane from which he and his mother had just disembarked.

Doesn't matter, if I spray you in the face with a noxious chemical it will feel as nasty whether I am coming or going.

I had Indian for dinner, don't test that theory.
