Story should start off as reading "Double-double addicts will soon have another reason to tie up tables for hours with the purchase of just one coffee in one of the thousands of Tim Hortons outlets across the country."
Its bad enough; I'd drop in there a lot more with the kids for lunch if not for the fact there are already a lot of seniors jamming the tables up with the purchase of just one coffee an hour ago, now they want to add younger people to the mix.
Sit and have a coffee group between breakfast and lunch, not during meal hours.

Those who frequent these places are the same sort of junk-food morons who think KFC is fine dining. I take it you think Timmies makes a good coffee!

Guess we have millions of morons walking the street, just because of the type of coffee they drink. Who knew? Next time I'm at a meeting with the colleagues at the Granite Club and we're all drinking a Timmies, I'll tell the guys and watch them wash away their laughter-induced tears with money. Following that, we'll order some KFC.

I wish they'd bring back fresh donuts instead - the cardboard ones they sell now are almost totally inedible. What's worse is that everyone's Timmies addictions have killed off all their competitors here in Alberta, so finding a fresh donut (outside of a bakery anyways) is next to impossible. Bring back Country Style donuts and their Lemon slices... ![Drool [drool]](./images/smilies/droolies.GIF)

Support the local bakeries and forgo that other shit. I can go into a 7-11 here and get a decent latte...well decent if you're comparing it to Starbucks. We have two within six blocks, but 98% of the time we just drink what we make at home. Coffee shops with their own bakeries now abound here.

Now you're getting it! $1: Next time I'm at a meeting with the colleagues at the Granite Club and we're all drinking a Timmies, I'll tell the guys and watch them wash away their laughter-induced tears with money.
Following that, we'll order some KFC. Thanks for pointing out that because someone has money, they don't always have good taste! If you doubt the truth in that, just watch the average rap video and keep drinking your brown water thinking it's coffee!

The local bakeries (at least in my part of town anyways) are few and far between. A bakery donut usually means hitting Safeway or Sobey's, not a stand alone bakery like in days of yore!

We get it buddy. You're awesome. We would probably think the coffee you drink isn't good either, but we won't insult you for it. We're a little more mature and don't need to put people down over the coffee they chose to drink to make ourselves feel better

Consider this a lesson in the difference between coffee and fast food colored water that YOU think is quality coffee. As far as maturity goes, maybe you should look in the mirror.

Timmies could have a promotional day where EVERYTHING was free and I still wouldn't touch their crap. It's just another in a line of fine, Canadian institutions destroyed by American ownership.
