BREAKING: No word when evacuation order for 188,000 will be lifted as Oroville threat remains
$1:
Massive state response in place for dam emergency
State officials have activated hundreds of people to help deal with the Oroville Dam crisis, sending 100 California Highway Patrol officers to the region and placing 1,200 California National Guard members on notice that they may be needed.

Lisa and I are in Sacramento (about 80km downstream from the Oroville Dam) and the Sacramento River is already less than three meters from overflowing. Adding the flash flood from the failed dam would've been a major problem and we were ready to evacuate all night. Lisa's at home today ready to go if needed and I have to be at work.

Now here's the shit on this: The CA Department of Water Resources knew that the primary spillway was failing as far back as 2013 yet they couldn't fix it because the state would not appropriate the money for it. Yet in that same period of time the state appropriated several billion dollars for free university education, housing assistance, welfare support, and legal assistance for illegal aliens.

Bart, weather forecast says clear for next 2 days, but then almost 5inches of rain
coming Wednesday night / Thursday morning.

Put all the stuff upstairs and get the bugout bags ready.

We're ready.

The evacuation order for immediately downstream of the dam is still in place because the emergency spillway is seriously undercut and may yet fail.

The best info is here:

http://www.kcra.com/

On an aside, Tyler Island in the delta is being evacuated due to a levee failure. I know some of these people who are evacuating.
