Wow. Quite the lift.

$1:
The display case is currently empty and the LCBO is reviewing its security procedures to see if they need improvement, LCBO spokeswoman Heather MacGregor said.

:?: Ya think?

Meh, you can probably get it for fifty bucks across the border. Damn "Socially responsible pricing."

Should be easy to find the perp. Look for the guy who's as drunk as the sky is blue.

Anyone who's getting drunk on a $26,000 bottle of scotch deserves to have the book thrown at him. A bottle like that has to be savoured.

I can understand the temptation to steal it though. I will most likely never get a chance to even sniff something that fine.

pheh one of the teachers brought in a little bottle of stuff his uncle had made. This was as smooooooooth as spring water with a slightly sweet finish. It was similar to Jamesons

They put someone named Heather MacGregor in charge of a $20,000 bottle of scotch? Kinda like putting Hamish Macdonald in charge of your sheep and wondering why the herd's a little light.

Maybe he's trying to live the hip hop lifestyle and will mix it with coke before he drinks it. :D

The best part of this story has to be the cops description of the suspect: 'nattily dressed in a Burberry shirt...', are the TO police hiring fashion experts now? '... and just LOOK at those dahling shoes!'

No doubt. Several years ago in a former workplace a bunch of us pitched in to get the shop manager a bottle of Johnnie Blue for his 60th birthday. He loved his scotch and it was one of the only things we could have possibly gotten him that he would appreciate. He loved it and said that was the type of thing you enjoyed "by the teaspoon" to make it last. LOL

That's why you guys should privatize the LCBO. Here in God's country the same bottle is selling for $21,999.

Or Wee Jock Fraser in charge of a lanolin and astroglide distribution hub.
