Why??????????????????

It's not like they need his input to make it work and besides, I don't trust anyone who can write a book quicker than I can read it. 8O

I think it's a good idea, king is a great writer (for the most part) and hopefully they give him a cameo (I loved his bit part in SOA)

King can contribute something...interesting...to this. It'd be fun to see him write in Flagg or the Gunslinger into the story just for giggles.

It's interesting, but given how King's writing is usually adapted for the screen, I'm leery.

I realize this isn't a King proprerty like Mangler, Pet Cemetary or any of the other King gong shows converted from book to big screen, but something about his writing just doesn't come across in the screen well.

Still, he has a wicked imagination and might introduce something no one else has thought of to the storyline.

Given that the production and directing will still be controlled by Frank Darabont I'm not too worried about having King involved. Darabont's done the best adaptaions of King's previous works, like Shawshank and The Mist, so this could work out to be fairly decent as I doubt that Darabont wants to step away from any of the boundaries of the original Kirkman stories. They're all cognizant too of the fact that they're dealing with a very dedicated fan base with TWD that won't tolerate any bullshit routine breaking out and ruining this developing mythos. I'm fairly certain that it won't turn into any really idiotic silliness like Creepshow or Children Of The Corn.

The walking dead: Is the referring to the US Senate? I think the Canadian Senate has a more positive role at least they don't foul things up.
