When we go back in ten years we can put this pussy-footing self-propelled prophecies of failure behind us and concentrate on what has to be done and do it together.

Sort of the same vein as the 'Toronto 18'. They should've just let them go ahead and blow their targets up since that seems to be the only thing that would wake Canadians up. As it stands now people still think it was all just a set up and never had a chance of becoming reality.

Giving up on Afghanistan and watching what transpires there from that point on, maybe getting attacked a little to boot unfortunately seems to be what we need to wake up and fight a real war.

Look to the whole left-media though.
They determined that this was un-winnable because GWB was in charge and they won't change that, reguardless of the lives lost. Besides, when was the last time the left understood the viewpoint of the soldier or what they fight for?
Obama's shutting down his generals and any advisor that says we're winning. The CBC only reports casualties.

I still don't know if I agree with the whole 4th generation warfare theory but this definately is one. The taliban are just proxy fighters for Iran and Islam and their media is doing a masterfuljob of erroding the western will to fight.
