This is probably runway 5/23, runway 14/32 is the one that the planes still use.

Wow. How are they ever going to auction off that many vehicles online? I would think the ones that were completely flooded would just be scrapped. Judging by a few of the pics some of them look like they are still draining out.

It was a tragic event in many ways, including for this Buick Regal GNX.

Hopefully everyone of those cars will be turned into scrap metal. Thousands of Americans got burned on used cars after Katrina. Once salt water gets into the electrical/electronic components, they are toast. I had a coworker that got screwed with one of those lemons. It was in the shop every other week. This is one case where there really ought to be a law, if there isn't one. Scrap them all!

Don't worry DD like always we'll get our share to.

Anybody who'se gonna purchase a used vehicle for the next year or two should be using carfax or the ICBC VIN number checking program before making that purchase that seems to good to be true.

No I mean it, US and Canadian write offs are big business here, since parts and labor is cheap here, they get a good quick cheap fix and off to the lot they go.

Quite a lot and then also re-exported to places like Iraq, Afghanistan, Russia etc etc.

Um probably not. In most jurisdictions in North America vehicles that have a branding indicating flood damaged can never be plated. They can only be registered to be used for parts or demolition. All the vehicles in the article should be sent to the scrap yard. There are shitloads of scams every year of people selling vehicles damaged in floods in one state/province to unsuspecting consumers in other states/provinces. The consumer only realizes what's going on when they go and try to plate the vehicle.
