$1:
For the first six months of 2012, it averaged 13,000 viewers in prime time. Thats remarkably low, charitably a 10th of the audience of the CBCs all-news channel, and it has meant steep losses for Sun News.

Sun News Must-Carry Application: CRTC Sounds Skeptical About News Network's Bid
$1:
At one point, CRTC chairman Jean-Pierre Blais suggested that Suns problems in developing an audience may be because "Canadians may just not want to subscribe. How do you respond?"

"It is inevitable you'll pay for things you don't watch and don't like. That's true for everyone," Sun News vice president Kory Teneycke told the hearing, as quoted by the Globe and Mails Steve Ladurantaye.
...
The news channel says it will not survive otherwise.
...
Opponents of Suns bid will have the opportunity to voice their objections later this week. No timeline has been set for a decision on its must-carry application.

Yeah, good luck with that. They basically ran a ra-ra telethon during the Boston bomber manhunt.

I'd rather listen to Rush too. Prefer the instrumentals though. geddy's voice makes my ears hurt sometimes.

If they'd hired a singer, they could have been a great band. Robert Plant did a lot of damage to the rock scene. What worked for him didn't for others so much.

First time I heard them I thought Zepplin ripoff. Took me a while to realize they're actually good musicians, but I never could get past that voice. "Pull the vice grips off your nuts, and put them on the table, Geddy Lee."

Yes, I learned to love their instrumentals.

Geddy already did that more than 30 years ago, back in, like, 1980. The squelching high vocals were left behind, by and large, as of Moving Pictures.

Just had a listen, and no, still sounds like somebody drilling into my eardrum. I'm sure he's a great guy and all, but I can't take that voice.

I used to love Peart's lyrics too. Trees and Limelight. Didn't age well though, at least for me.

Going by those recent Rush concerts that HBO and Superchannel keep showing, Geddy's voice has gotten a lot weirder and worse over the last few years. Too old now to pull off the high notes anymore but he still keeps trying and now sounds like someone with a massive throat infection yelling into an empty coffee can.
