Are you equating combat stress, PTSD and OSI incurred while serving your country with the whining of a group of overindulged, self entitled children who've been pampered from cradle to college?

Although, as much as it pains me to agree with the Universities I think we should be giving these poor misguided, safe zone seeking munchkins grief counselling. Their fragile ego's and poor ability to accept any reality that doesn't suit them is almost a guarantee that they will have a mental health issues when something doesn't go their way. [cry]

So, not helping them through their self induced trying times is pretty much akin to psychological torture. How about this. Let's give them grief counselling so long as it includes teaching them that the world is a nasty place that doesn't revolve around their overly sensitive asses. ROTFL

You're fucking joking right?! You know what the difference is between some spoiled little college shit and a veteran with PTSD or OSI? The veteran doesn't have a goddam safe space!!

"Oh goodness me, I've been victimized by a microagression. I need compensation and months of intensive therapy to cope with the fact that not everyone likes or agrees with me".

Now, compare that to, "I had to kill a child soldier because he was going to kill innocent civilians", or, "The mortar round landed about 10-15 feet away from me, right where my buddy was standing. When the smoke cleared we had to scoop parts of him up with a helmet."

Hardly compares, does it.

Also, he's talking about public funding. Wounded Warrior is a private charity.

$1:
Since Donald Trump’s upset victory last Tuesday, colleges across the country have brought in therapy dogs, canceled exams and held “cry-ins” on campus.

But Republican state Rep. Bobby Kaufmann says he will introduce a “suck it up, buttercup” bill in January when the Iowa State Legislature resumes, in a bid to fight back against campus coddling.

The bill would hit taxpayer-funded state universities with a budget cut for double the amount they spend on such election-related activities. Kaufmann emphasized that existing therapy and mental health services are not being targeted.

“I saw schools with rising, skyrocketing tuition costs where they are also finding money and expenditures for things such as cry rooms. I heard reports of rooms where you can play with Play-Doh, where you can color on books and talk about your feelings, and I was hearing reports of some schools that were bringing in ponies to be able get students through the election,” he told "Fox & Friends" on Wednesday.

The point I'm making has nothing to do with funding and everything to do with the contrast. We have people crying and whining about an election, needing crayon therapy and puppy hugging rooms, this is over the results of a free and fair election.

On the other hand you have those who have risked their lives, been injured or emotionally hamred due to seeing the evils of war and they have to go on with their lives with as much strength as others. They aren't in the streets protesting over their shoddy treatment and to get more assistance (technically they protested at the ballot box).

It's very difficult to have any sympathy over those being coddled and manipulated to be "scared" and devastated over an election loss. There is no comparison, yet, these protests which have in many cases been encouraged by their school administrations is disgusting. They are sending these kids the wrong message, the reflection of the type of adults they might be is more worrisome than this election result.

Do I want someone who openly cries, seeks therapy and needs a pony petting to feel better over the result of an election to one day be running the U.S or ANY nation?

The whole thing that I see is an entire generation of friggin' wimps! I can only imagine what will happen when these ever so sensitive babies get turned down for a job. There will have to be dedicated rooms for these suckholes to go cry. It is pathetic that everything offends someone nowadays and we actually accept and bow down to these whinny self-centered babies.

This problem is reinforced in schools everywhere. Dealing with adversity is discouraged. Kids are rewarded for achieving the bare minimum.

We can't have winners and losers anymore. Everyone is awarded for trying. Heaven forbid if someone is not awarded for showing up because it may scar them for life. I feel sorry for any human resources person that has to hurt these average kids feelings. Living in Saskatoon I see all of these university kids walking around with the 'I am special' attitude and thinking they are guaranteed a job once they graduate. Sometimes I want to walk up to some of these babies and slap them and tell them the world is not butterflies and unicorns. Of course, I could not do that because they would have to go to counseling and take time off of school because their precious feelings were hurt.

Worse. Far worse.

In Canada we are PICKING AND CHOOSING the winners and losers. Tell me anything worse than being rewarded for no other reason than nepotism or artificial protection of the state (whatever the hell "protection" means)? Canada is worse in one respect, not only do we coddle those who fail but we REWARD losers. It's a harsh word but accurate as it has been handed on a platter. People who would never have succeeded in the free market, would never have opened up a business or driven revenue for the nation rewarded heavily.

Let's look at the history of nations in the dustbin that followed this philosophy.

Indeed.

Remember the 1980's the term M.A.D, or Mutually Assured Destruction.

I cannot tell a lie.
