itsanalias:

I don't answer loaded questions; instead I answer loaded questions with questions: Did you hate acountability when the Liberal party (or "your" party) was the focus?

Didn't think so. Liberal party always showed distain and "hate" for accountablility until they were in the opposition so please spare us the theatrics and moral pontificating.

So what you're saying then is it is perfectly acceptable to allow those who've done wrong to be let off the hook as long as they're your buddies?

Nope that's what you're saying.

My advice is to let go of yoru personal bias against me, take a deep breath and quit trying to flame me because you're coming off like an aggressive baby. Take my advice: don't build personal vendettas on a forum. I don't do that for my worst forum 'enemies'.

Look at the polls itsanalias. Nobody in this country is prepared to listen to the Liberals pontificate about morality and accountability. If you don't like that the CPC is getting a 'free pass' on stuff like this you only have the Liberal party to blame.

The Liberal party has plenty to be blamed for.

The wrongs committed by the Harper government or their behaviour since taking office aren't one of them though.

In the court of public opinion (the only one that matters) yes it is. The Liberals set the bar for patronage, spending money on their friends and general corruption -- that the CPC's 'wrongs' pale in comparrison most definately IS the fault of the Liberal party. Had they been more trustworthy then these actions by the CPC would stick out more.

So down the road when the Liberals are inevitable re-elected we should just give them a free pass as well because the CPC managed to lower the bar even further?

Well I don't know where you get the inevitable part but all the same, yes, itsanalias, I know as well as you do that you WILL give them a free pass when that time comes.....

Me on the other hand, well I have no problem criticizing the CPC regardless of the fact that I voted for them.

Should we excuse the need for stiffer penalties or stiffer prison sentences in your mind too then Ahkenten?
Of course this has nothign to do with anything you're just trying to keep the flame going.

Speaking of being trustworthy...

Are we all ready for the big election in 5 days?

$1:
the first general election after this section comes into force being held on Monday, October 19, 2009

Elections Canada hasn't given me a polling station yet, so I guess I'll just drop my ballot at the nearest Conservative party MP's office.

I'm glad someone here can take a post in the spirit it was intended. EyeBrock is probably busy working on a heated rebuttal though.
