Whatever happened to soldiers talking to the media about these sorts of things being unproffessional?

They'll be lucky if their superiors don't line them up infront fo a ridlfe squad behind the shitters for this. We serve to follow orders, our opinions don't matter, and as far as it goes wit the media it should be a case of don't ask, don't tell.

Their opnions do matter, I'll bet 98% of the people serving think B-HO is an idiot for allowing gays to serve.

There are 1.3 million soldiers in the US military (give or take) and you think a couple hundred is a big deal?

How many soldiers were kicked out for other reasons, hwacker?

And why should "homosexual activitiy" be a reason for dismissal?

"Don't Ask, Don't Tell" law passed in 1994. The law allows gays to serve if they keep their sexual orientation private and do not engage in homosexual acts. It prohibits commanders from asking about a person's sex life and requires discharge of those who acknowledge they are gay.

Don't ask, don't tell prohibits gay military personnel from disclosing their sexual orientation because anyone that "demonstrates a propensity or intent to engage in homosexual acts would create an unacceptable risk to standards of morale, good order and discipline, and unit cohesion."
