It would be nice to see those finally located, more interesting to see what if anything has survived.

I bet it's well preserved. The water is extremely cold and covered from UV by depth and ice.

They could be but depending on how deep they ended up the ice could just as easily ground everything to dust.

Very true and I've seen some wrecks that have been pushed deeper and had their superstructure shaved off from the ice. I may be confusing my ship wrecks here.......but I believe they had a contact or evidence of a wreck in around 100' depth mark??

Here's a picture of a wreck I dived years ago that had the bow above water when it sunk but was pushed down 4'-6' deeper and tore off the wheel house. The stern sits around 95'.
